Season's Readings

explorations in literature, picture books, and beyond ...

About Me

This blog began as an assignment for my MA in English Modernities. Originally titled 'Abstract to Illustrated', it was intended to blog my murky way towards thesis illumination. After a circuitous route through (and thankfully past) the demands of the dissertation (and she was a diva let me tell you), Season's Readings now brings you recommendations on anything and everything literary. The following posts document my early forays in Victorian and children's literature, to picture books, Romanticism and my main woman, Jane Austen. Throughout this blog I call on ecocriticism, feminist theory, and mainly let's face it, whims and fancy, to explore the novels and cultural moments I'm currently obsessed with, and the patterns between them.
